The more you learn the more you are, it is a complete true phrase, as you learn new information every day, and that makes you better. Adding to that, universities are one of the best places to have information, there are many disciplines to study at the university such as Medicine, Translation, Marketing, and an MBA, which is a discipline that students register for hugely. There are many good universities in the US such as Harvard, Columbia, Stanford, and University of Pennsylvania, IESE Business School at the University of Navarra, and IE University in Spain, University of Warwick, and the Graduate School of Business of Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh Business School in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Heriot-Watt University, that was founded in 1821, featured in the QS World University Rankings Top 200 to study Statistics & Operational Research and in the Academic Ranking of World Universities Top 200 to study Finance, and it also came 3rd in the best British universities to study Economics. The business school of Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh Business School, has more than 19,000 graduates across 165 countries worldwide, and more than 11,500 students studying their programs. The university also awards degrees by Royal Charter.
The MBA at the school is one of the largest international in the world. It is offered on-campus in Malaysia, Dubai, and Edinburgh through a 23-member-network of Approved Learning Partners all over the world, through a combination of these routes or by independent distance learning.
The seven core courses, that are Strategic Planning, Project Management, Organizational Behaviour, Marketing, Finance, Economics, and Accounting, are available in Spanish, Chinese, Arabic, and English, and there’re also three elective courses available in, Arabic, Chinese, and Spanish. Each June and December, more than 400 centers of the school around the world run examinations. There are more than 70 students studying DBA, a Doctor of Business Administration, that started in 2003. There are also several degrees of Master of Science in the school.
Edinburgh Business School and Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) has a joint agreement to enable ACCA Part 3 members, affiliates and students to gain exemption and a fast track entry through free-of-charge credit transfer when they register by face-to-face study, or distance learning at a global network of centers for the MSc in Financial Management.
EBS in 2010, launched a major scholarship initiative in Southern Africa. They planned to manage the scholarship with the Canon Collins Educational & Legal Assistance Trust for individuals in many countries in Southern African, who find funding the Master of Business Administration studies impossible. The scholarship program was the largest in Africa and about 250 scholarships in 5 years. What made the scholarship program better was that the wife of former South African President Nelson Mandela, Graça Machel endorsed it. More than 50 scholars have graduated with their MBA. The scholarship does not receive new applications now.
